Boundaries
The community that WNCA serves is bounded
- on the south by Main Street and the Schuylkill River,
- on the west by Shurs and Walnut Lanes,
- on the north by Henry Avenue, and
- on the east by Hermit Street and Ridge Avenue to the Wissahickon Creek.
constituency
WNCA serves the interests of residential and business within its boundaries by improving social and economic conditions; by maintaining a free, open, and democratic forum; and by being nonpartisan and nonsectarian in all its activities.
The Association operates under ratified Bylaws; conducts annual elections; holds regular meetings; and abides by rules of financial accountability.
nonprofit and charitable status
Founded in 1967, WNCA is registered with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a domestic nonprofit corporation. The Association is also registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization.

meetings
WNCA holds general membership meetings the first Monday of the month at Pilgrim Church, 7:30 - 9:00 P. M., September - June. The church is located at the corner of Terrace and Dawson Streets, one block west of Ridge Avenue. The meeting room entrance is on the parking lot side of the building and is wheelchair accessible.
The WNCA holds Executive Board meetings monthly, September - June.
membership
WNCA Individual, Business, and Associate (non-voting, under age eighteen) memberships are available to those living within the Association's boundaries. Also, the general membership may accept applications from those outside the Association's boundaries.
Membership applications are available at all meetings and events of the Association. Applications for Individual and Business membership may be downloaded on-line. Applicants should follow WNCA's application procedures.
Annual dues for Individual and Associate members are ten dollars (five dollars for Senior Citizens), and thrity-five dollars for Business members.
Annual memberships extend from September 1 to August 31 of the following year.
Members must have paid their dues at least thirty days before voting in any proceedings of the Association.

Several standing (permanent) committees provide support for the Association's work in the community. Committee projects channel a variety of member skills and interests in constructive ways.
