Neighbors Park

Thanks everyone who came out for the Mayor's Second Annual Philadelphia Spring Clean Up Day on Saturday, April 4th, 2009 and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's 10th Annual Spring Into Your Park Clean Up on Saturday, April 18th!
The playground and woodland lot look great!

For more information on how to get involved, please contact Andrea Hauber.

Park Revitalization Project
Our goal is to revitalize the woodland lot/park/playground area to better serve the community.
We are looking to add more green space, places for kids to play, and places for people in the community to gather and interact with one another.
We believe that revitalizing the park is critical to growing home ownership in Manayunk and that a revitalized park will also be a project the current community can rally around.

Currently our focus is to get a design and budget in place in order to start fundraising.
  • Application has been filed with the Community Design Collaborative for redesign services.  UPDATE: The application has been approved and the CDC has agreed to work on our project!
  • Grant has been awarded by The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society to our civic for $1500 to fund the redesign.
  • Support has been express by Councilman Curtis Jones for the initiative.

In 2008, a survey was conducted and you asked to see additional
  • green space (flowers, shrubs, and trees)
  • benches
  • toddler area (slides, swings, and motion toys
