Neighbors Park and Woodland Lot

Park Revitalization Project - Construction is complete!

Our goal was to revitalize the woodland lot/park/playground area to better serve the community.
We added more green space, places for kids to play, a spray ground and places for people in the community to gather and interact with one another.
We believe that revitalizing the park is critical to growing home ownership in Manayunk and that a revitalized park will also be a project the current community can rally around.
The new park

Our fundraising efforts.
  • The Community Design Collaborative plans were approved by the community and the City.
  • Grant has been awarded by The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society to our civic for $1500 to fund the redesign.
  • Support has been express by Councilman Curtis Jones for the initiative and a $200,000. grant has been awarded for the construction of the new park.

LOVE Your Park Day
Saturday November 5
Thanks to all who came out to our clean-up.  We were able to collect over 40 bags of leaves and trash!  We also planted fall bulbs in Woodland Lot so hopefully in the spring we will have beautiful lilies to cheer up the neighborhood!  Please contact us if you are interested in getting involved in maintaining the Park/Woodlant Lot.
Thank you to everyone who helped during the Philly Clean-Up on Saturday, April 2 and April 16, 2011. We were able to clean the Neighbors Park, Woodland Lot and some of the surrounding streets. We also built two raised flower boxes in Woodlant Lot.  Each year we are able to get more and more done throughout the neighborhood.
I want to give a special thank you to State Representative Pam DeLissio for providing the new American flag that will be raised, and to David Wilby and Dawson's Street Pub for providing the food and beverage to the hard working clean-up crew.
